While preserving its original architectural charm, Fonda Work has adapted to contemporary business needs. This distinctive space in the city offers meeting rooms and bright, versatile areas designed for work, writing, or reading — all with a touch of inspiration.
Blending tradition with modernity, these enchanting yet functional spaces make working synonymous with inspiration and connection.
The rooms at Fonda Work are named after three influential figures
associated with Fonda Europa: Josep Pla, Eugeni Xammar, and César Bulbena. Each room pays tribute to their legacy, providing a unique atmosphere for working, creating, and sharing ideas.

CÉSAR BULBENA
This versatile space is infused with the power of art and features frescoes painted by Bulbena himself, adding character and beauty to the room. With a capacity of up to 25 people and a large touchscreen, it is the perfect setting for meetings, presentations, and talks that aim to make a lasting impression.
JOSEP PLA
The Josep Pla room is bright and comfortable, accommodating up to 10 people. It is equipped with individual air conditioning and a screen, making it an ideal space for teamwork, collaborative projects, and professional gatherings.
EUGENI XAMMAR
This room offers privacy and comfort, allowing ideas to flow freely. With seating for up to 8 people, it creates a calm atmosphere with individual air conditioning and a screen for presentations. It serves as a true oasis for focus, debate, and making agreements in an exclusive setting.

Design
A DESIGN BY CO-A ARQUITECTURADesigned by Clara Ocaña, Fonda Work aims to enhance the meaning and legacy of Fonda Europa, an institution that embodies the country’s hospitality culture. This includes its culinary traditions, spirit of relaxation, business ethos, and architectural heritage.
The materials and elements employed in the project reflect the local way of life, representing the values and practices of the community. This creates a business environment that strongly resonates with local identity.
To achieve this, the design begins with a careful examination and reinterpretation of the building’s original architectural features. The proposal intends to blend Fonda’s traditional character with contemporary design elements, achieving a harmonious fusion of the past and present.
